1. Who we are

Siling' is a Financial Operating System built to help you understand, plan, and improve your finances.

2. What we collect

• Financial Notifications: transaction confirmations from a Supported Institution only.
• Profile information you provide: a PIN (hashed, never plain text), optional name, preferred currency, and, after import confirmation, cycle start day and financial cycle.
• Usage data: basic in-app analytics.
• We do not collect: government ID/passport numbers, physical address, or biometric data.

3. Where your data lives

Your phone is the source of truth. Nothing leaves your phone unless you explicitly enable Secure Sync, off by default and not yet generally available.

4. Why we process this data

To build your ledger, categorize transactions, generate Financial Insights, and support cashflow planning. We do not sell personal data.

5. AI Insights

Generated using your own data; full detail in AI Transparency.

6. Third parties

We do not sell Personal Financial Information. Any processor is bound by a data processing agreement.

7. Your rights

Access, export, or delete your data anytime (see Data Deletion). Statutory rights under applicable law, such as Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019, apply in full.

8. Data retention

Retained on your device until deleted; sync deletion propagates within a defined window.

9. Children

Not directed at anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

Material changes announced in-app.
